Preposition Definition ( Preposition Ki Paribhasha )

Preposition ko hindi me सम्बन्धसूचक kehte hai iski paribhasha aapko niche di gyi hai.

परिभाषा: सम्बन्धसूचक ( Preposition ) अवयव वह शब्द है जो किसी संज्ञा या सर्वनाम के पहले आकर उसका सम्बन्ध किसी अन्य संज्ञा या सर्वनाम से प्रकट करता है
Preposition Definition: A preposition is a word used to link nouns, pronouns, or phrases to other words within a sentence. Prepositions are usually short words, and they are normally placed directly in front of nouns.

Preposition Examples Sentences 

निचे लिखे वाक्यों को ध्यानपूर्वाक पढ़िए –

• He is in the room.
• She Came to me.
• The birds fly over our heads.
• I read at night daily.
• The cat is under the bed.

Note: ऊपर दिए गए At, In, Over, Under, On, With, Upon, For, From, Of, Up, Down, Before, After, Between, Among शब्द संज्ञा या सर्वनाम से पहले आकर उनका सम्बन्ध दूसरी संज्ञा या सर्वनाम से प्रकट करते है इस प्रकार हम पाते है की Preposition ( सम्बन्धसूचक अवयव ) दो संज्ञाओं या सर्वनामों के बीच सम्बन्ध प्रकट करता हैं

Uses of Preposition in Hindi

➦ At ka Paryog – 

Rule 1: At का प्रयोग छोटे नगरों, गाँवों या छोटे स्थानों से पहले  होता है |

At Examples Sentences: 
☻ Mohan lives at Dehradun, : मोहन देहरादून में रहता है |
☻ I live at Haridwar in Uttarkhand. : मैं उत्तरखंड में हरिद्वार में रहता हूँ |

Rule 2: At का प्रयोग समय बताने के लिए होता है |

At Examples Sentences: 
☻ I take breakfast at 8 a.m : तुम्हारा भाई दोपहर को मेरे पास आया
☻ Your brother came to me at noon : मैं प्रातः आठ बजे नाश्ता लेता हूँ |

Rule 3: At का प्रयोग समीपता दिखाने होता है जैसे –

☻ The watchman is standing at the gate. : चौकीदार दरवाजे पर खड़ा हुआ है
☻ He is working at the table. : वह मेज पर काम कर रहा है

Rule 4: Hotel, school, Party, station, building, theatre आदि के पहले at का प्रयोग होता है जैसे –

☻ The guest is saying at Royal Hotel.
☻ My friend was waiting for me at the station.

➦ In का प्रयोग – 

Rule 1: In का प्रयोग प्रत्येक बड़े नगर, देश तथा स्थान से पहले होता है | जैसे –

☻ My sister lives in delhi. : मेरी बहन दिल्ली में रहती है

Rule 2: In किसी वस्तु का स्थान या स्थिरता बताता है जैसे –

☻ The rat is in the hole, : चूहा बिल में है

Rule 3: In वर्ष, महीना, ऋतू, समय के नामों के साथ आता है | जैसे –

☻ My father lived in this city in 1996. : मेरे पिता १९९६ में इस शहर में रहते थे

☻ She came in the morning. : वह सुबह में आई

➦ Over तथा Under का प्रयोग – 

Rule: Over का अर्थ हैं – ऊपर तथा Under का अर्थ है – नीचे | Over का प्रयोग एक स्थान से दूसरी और जाने के लिए भी होता हैं Under का प्रयोग भी किसी वस्तु या व्यक्ति के वस्तु के नीचे होकर जाने के लिए हो सकता है | जैसे –

➦ Over – 

☻ The dog jumped ovet the table : कुत्ता मेज के ऊपर कूदा |

➦ Under – 

☻ Thet sat under a tree. : वे एक पेड़ के नीचे बैठे |

➦ On का प्रयोग – 

Rule 1: On एक-दूसरे को स्पर्श करती हुई वस्तुओ की स्थिर अवस्था के लिए आता है | जैसे –

☻ The cup is on the table : प्याला मेज पर है

Rule 2: On का प्रयोग dates तथा days के साथ भी होता है जैसे –

☻ She comes here on the tenth of every month. : हर रविवार को स्कूल नहीं जाते है

➦ Upon का प्रयोग – 

Rule: Upon का प्रयोग तब होता है जब एक वस्तु दूसरी वस्तु के ऊपर नहीं हो, ऊपर आ रही हो या लायी जा रही हो | जैसे –

☻ The boy jumped upon the stool. : लड़का स्टूल के ऊपर कूदा |

➦ With का प्रयोग – 

Rule: With का प्रयोग ‘साथ’ दिखाने के लिए या साधन या औजार के लिए किया जाता है | जैसे –

☻ He writes a letter with his pen. :  वह अपने कलम से एक पत्र लिखता है

➦ For का प्रयोग – 

Rule 1: ‘लिए’ के अर्थ में For का प्रयोग होता है जैसे –

☻ This purse is for my sister. : यह पर्स मेरी बहन के लिए है |

Rule 2: अवधि बताने के लिए for का प्रयोग होता है जैसे –

☻ I have been learning my lesson for two hours. : मैं दो घंटे से अपना पाठ याद कर रहा हूँ |

Rule 3: जिसकी प्रतीक्षा की जाए उससे पहले तथा Verb ‘wait’ के बाद for का use होता है जैसे –

☻ They were waiting for me at the staition. : वे स्टेशन पर मेरी प्रतीक्षा कर रहे थे

➦ From का प्रयोग –

Rule 1: From का प्रयोग ‘से’ के अर्थ में होता है जैसे –

☻ I’m coming form kanpur. : में कानपुर से आ रहा हूँ |

Rule 2: किसी दिन, तिथि, महीना या वर्ष से कार्य आरम्भ होने की स्थिति में from का प्रयोग होता है जैसे –

☻ My father start his work from june. : मेरे पिताजी अपना कार्य जून से प्रारम्भ करेंगे |

Rule 3: किसी रोग से पीड़ित होने के अर्थ में From का प्रयोग होता है जैसे

☻ I am suffering from fever. : में ज्वर से पीड़ित हूँ |

➦ Of  का प्रयोग – 

Rule 1: का, की , के के अर्थ में सम्बन्ध या अधिकार बताने के लिए of का प्रयोग होता है जैसे –

☻ Amit is a son of doctor. : अमित डॉक्टर का बेटा है |

Rule 2: कोई वस्तु जिस वस्तु से बनी है उससे पूर्व of का प्रयोग होता है जैसे –

☻ My ring is made of gold. : मेरी अंगूठी सोने की बनी है |

Rule 3: जिस बीमारी से मिर्त्यु हो, उससे पूर्व of का प्रयोग होता है जैसे –

His father died of malaria. : उसके पिता की मौत मलेरिआ से हुई

➦ Up का प्रयोग – 

Rule: Up का प्रयोग नीचे से ऊंचे स्थान और जाना दिखाता है जैसे –

☻ He is going to up the hill. : वह पहाड़ी के ऊपर जा रहा है

➦ Down का प्रयोग – 

Rule: Down का प्रयोग ऊंचे स्थान से नीचे स्थान की और आना दिखाता है जैसे –

☻ The boy is coming down the stairs. : लड़का, सीढ़ियों से नीचे आ रहा है

➦ Before तथा After का प्रयोग –

Rule: Before After Meaning In Hindi – Before का अर्थ है पहले तथा After का अर्थ है बाद में जैसे –

☻ I reached the before my friend. : में वहाँ अपने मित्र से पहले पहुंच गया

☻ You can come after two hours. :  तुम दो घंटे के बाद आ सकते हो |

➦ Between तथा Among का प्रयोग –  

Rule: Between Among  Meaning In Hindi – Between का प्रयोग दो के लिए तथा Among का दो से अधिक के लिए होता है जैसे –

☻ There is a great love between these two friends ; इन दोनों मित्रो के बीच बहुत प्रेम हैं

☻ Distribute the sweets among the boys : मिठाईया को लड़को में बाँट दो
